Antiphlogistikum

Meloxicam ist ein nicht-steroidales Antiphlogistikum der Oxicam-Gruppe, das die Prostaglandinsynthese hemmt und dadurch antiphlogistisch, anti-exsudativ, analgetisch und antipyretisch wirkt.

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class which acts by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Bei Beginn der Febuxostatbehandlung wird daher eine Anfallsprophylaxe mit einem nicht-steroidalen Antirheumatikum/Antiphlogistikum (NSAR) oder mit Colchicin über mindestens 6 Monate empfohlen.

At treatment initiation with febuxostat flare prophylaxis for at least 6 months with an NSAID or colchicine is recommended.
