Ich habe meine Bibliothek, ich lese wirklich gerne, doch stelle ich, wenn ich in die Buchhandlungen, alle Buchhandlungen, gehe, ebenso fest, daß die Auswahl an anspruchsvollen Büchern meistens begrenzt ist, und zwar auch in der Europäischen Union.

I have my library, and in fact I enjoy reading. But I also find, when I go to a bookshop, any bookshop, that the range of quality books on offer is usually limited, even in Europe.
