Verbreitung Eichelhäher bewohnen sowohl dichte Wälder als auch lockere Baumbestände der gesamten paläarktischen Region bis nach Japan, auch im Mittelmeerraum und im westlichen Nordafrika sind sie heimisch und von altersher wohlbekannt.
