Gärung

Es existieren vier Typen der Gärung: obergärig, untergärig, spontane Gärung und gemischte Gärung.

There are four types of fermentation: top, bottom, spontaneous and mixed fermentation.

Bei untergärigen Bieren verläuft die Gärung bei einer niedrigen Temperatur und sinkt die Hefe am Schluss der Gärung nach unten.

Bottom fermentation is fermentation at low temperature where the yeast settles to the bottom at the end of the process.
