und an den Jordan kamen und ihre Füße vorn ins Wasser tauchten (der Jordan aber war voll an allen seinen Ufern die ganze Zeit der Ernte),

And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)

Und da er an den Jordan kam, waren die Männer Judas gen Gilgal gekommen, hinabzuziehen dem König entgegen, dass sie den König über den Jordan führten.

16 And Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite, from Bahurim, hurried to come down with the men of Judah to meet King David. 17 And with him were a thousand men from Benjamin.

Und da er an den Jordan kam, waren die Männer Juda's gen Gilgal gekommen, hinabzuziehen dem König entgegen, daß sie den König über den Jordan führten.

And he went as far as the Jordan, and all of Judah went as far as Gilgal, so as to meet the king, and to lead him across the Jordan.

15 Also kam der König wieder. Und da er an den Jordan kam, waren die Männer Judas gen Gilgal kommen, hinabzuziehen dem Könige entgegen, daß sie den König über den Jordan führeten.

15 And the king returned and came as far as the Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over the Jordan.

Und die Priester, die die Lade des Bundes des HERRN trugen, standen still im Trockenen mitten im Jordan. Und ganz Israel ging trocken durch, bis das ganze Volk alles über den Jordan kam.

And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

Und Josua sprach: Ach HERR HERR, warum hast du dies Volk über den Jordan geführt, daß du uns in die Hände der Amoriter gäbest, uns umzubringen? O, daß wir's uns hätten gefallen lassen, jenseit des Jordans zu bleiben!

And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!
