Wenn nötig ist das Kantenlineal zu kürzen, damit es nicht über dem Stoßfänger befindliche Teile des Fahrzeugaufbaus berührt.

Where necessary the straight edge shall be shortened to avoid any contact with structures above the bumper;

Wird bei diesem Verfahren die Oberkante des Stoßfängers von dem Kantenlineal berührt, ist auch sie als Fronthaubenvorderkante zu betrachten.

The top edge of the bumper shall also be regarded as the bonnet leading edge if it is contacted by the straight edge during this procedure;

Wird bei diesem Verfahren die Oberkante des Frontschutzsystems von dem Kantenlineal berührt, ist auch sie als Frontschutzsystemvorderkante im Sinne dieser Verordnung zu betrachten (siehe Abbildung 5).

The top edge of the frontal protection system shall also be regarded as the frontal protection system leading edge for the purposes of this Regulation, if it is touched by the straight edge during this procedure (see Figure 5);
