Die Erde in vielen Orten ist sehr steinig und unfruchtbar, was eines der Merkmale der Kykladeninseln ist. Trotzdem gibt es auch Orte auf der Insel wie das Dorf Komi, in dem es sehr viel Vegetation gibt.
