Der Grazer Strafrechtsprofessor Hans Gross ließ 1913/1914 seinen Sohn, den Psychoanalytiker Dr. med. Otto Gross wegen "Wahnsinns" entmündigen.

Hans Gross, the Graz Professor of Criminal Law, had his son, the psychoanalyst Dr. Otto Gross, declared legally incompetent because of "madness."

Er begann eine Ausbildung zum Psychoanalytiker am Institut für Psychoanalyse (sein Lehranalytiker war Charles Rycroft unter Supervision von Donald W. Winnicott und Marion Milner).

At this time, he was associated with John Bowlby, D. W. Winnicott and Charles Rycroft.
