(EN) Herr Präsident! Die Roma sind weder die Nachfahren des antiken Römischen Reiches noch die heutigen Einwohner Roms.

Mr President, Roma are neither the successors of the ancient Roman Empire, nor the contemporary inhabitants of Rome.

Als Roma, nach jahrhundertelanger Ausgrenzung unseres Volkes, lehne ich jede Form der Kollektivschuld ab, ob wir nun über das Abstempeln der Roma oder die Mehrheitsgesellschaft reden.

As a Roma, after centuries of exclusion suffered by our communities I reject every form of collective guilt, whether we are talking about labelling the Roma or the majority society.
