Berlin ist in 12 Stadtbezirke eingeteilt. Alle Stadtbezirke zusammen umfassen 95 Ortsteile.

Manhattan ist in mehrere Stadtbezirke aufgeteilt. Einige Stadtbezirke sind SoHo, China Town und Harlem.

Das Stadtgebiet ist stattdessen in Stadtbezirke eingeteilt, deren Zahl bis zum zweiten Weltkrieg auf 41 gestiegen war. Bei einer Neugliederung des Stadtgebiets 1992/96 wurde diese Zahl auf die heutige Zahl von 25 Stadtbezirken verringert.

The metropolitan area is instead divided into districts, the number had risen to the second world war to 41. In a reorganization of the urban area 1992/96 this number was reduced to its present number of 25 districts.
