Steinbrüche müssen eine gewichtete Wertung von mindestens 25 Punkten erreichen.

Quarries shall reach a weighted score of at least 25 points.

In römischer Zeit hieß der Ort Mons Silicis, was so viel wie „Berg des Feuersteins“ bedeutet, wahrscheinlich wegen der örtlichen Trachyt-Steinbrüche.

In Roman times it was known as Mons Silicis, meaning "mountain of flintstone", possibly due to the local quarries of trachyte.
