Tendinitis und/oder Sehnenabriß (insbesondere die Achillessehne betreffend) tritt unter Gabe von Chinolon-Antibiotika auf.

Bei jeglichem Anzeichen einer Tendinitis (z.B. schmerzhafte Schwellung, Entzündung) sollte die Behandlung mit Ciprofloxacin sofort beendet werden.

At any sign of tendinitis (e. g. painful swelling, inflammation), ciprofloxacin treatment should be discontinued.

Unter Behandlung mit Ciprofloxacin kann es bereits innerhalb der ersten 48 Stunden nach Behandlungsbeginn zu einer manchmal beidseitigen Tendinitis und Sehnenruptur (insbesondere der Achillessehne) kommen.
