Wer an den Sohn glaubt, der hat das ewige Leben. Wer dem Sohn nicht glaubt, der wird das Leben nicht sehen, sondern der Zorn Gottes bleibt über ihm.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Der priester sprach über das ewige leben und versuchte, die familie zu trösten.

Gleichwie du ihm Macht hast gegeben über alles Fleisch, auf daß er das ewige Leben gebe allen, die du ihm gegeben hast.

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Das ist aber das ewige Leben, daß sie dich, der du allein wahrer Gott bist, und den du gesandt hast, Jesum Christum, erkennen.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
