entweihen

4 Er soll sich nicht verunreinigen als Herr unter seinen Völkern, sich zu entweihen.

4 He shall not make himself unclean who is a chief among his peoples, to profane himself.

Sie verbrennen dein Heiligtum; sie entweihen und werfen zu Boden die Wohnung deines Namens.

They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.

Ihre Propheten sind leichtfertig und Verächter; ihre Priester entweihen das Heiligtum und deuten das Gesetz freventlich.

Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.

der auch versucht hat, den Tempel zu entweihen; welchen wir auch griffen und wollten ihn gerichtet haben nach unserem Gesetz.

Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.

31 Und seine Heere werden kommen und Heiligtum und Burg entweihen und das tägliche Opfer abschaffen und das Greuelbild der Verwüstung aufstellen.

31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

So werdet ihr nicht Sünde auf euch laden an demselben, wenn ihr das Beste davon hebt, und nicht entweihen das Geheiligte der Kinder Israel und nicht sterben.

And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
