Due to the slant position of the eardrum , the eardrum has a bigger surface than the normal ear.

Es wird hierfür eine ähnliche Technik verwand, wie sie für knochenimplantierte Hörgeräte bereits bekannt ist. Vorzugsweise ist das Außenteil hinter dem Ohr und durch die Ohrmuschel möglichst abgedeckt angeordnet.
