A large sedge from wetlands throughout New Zealand that forms a big tussock of thin leaves and, with age, grows a trunk-like base to about a meter tall that reminds of a grass tree (Xanthorrhoea).

Eine große Segge, beheimatet in den Feuchtgebieten Neuseelands, die dichte Büschel feiner Blätter bildet. Im Alter bildet sie eine stammähnliche Basis, die bis zu 1 m hoch werden kann, so dass sie dann an Grasbäume (Xanthorrhoea) erinnert.
