According to the invention, a vibraphone or metallophone has laminae made of titanium or the indicated titanium alloys, respectively, especially in combination with at least one hard layer.

Erfindungsgemäß besitzt ein Vibrafon oder Metallofon Plättchen aus Titan bzw. der angegebenen Titanlegierungen, insbesondere in Kombination mit zumindest einer Hartschicht.
