Ende Oktober 2011 musste er wegen einer Virusinfektion in London ein Konzert absagen. Im November in Wien verschlimmerte sich sein Zustand und er wurde am 21.11, 2 Stunden vor dem geplanten Konzert ins Wiener AKH eingeliefert.
