Regionalpolitik

Zum Schluß möchte ich den Kollegen des Ausschusses für Regionalpolitik und den Fachleuten, insbesondere der Fachabteilung des Ausschusses für Regionalpolitik, für ihre Mitarbeit danken.

Finally, I would like to thank all my colleagues in the Committee on Regional Policy and the whole of the technical team, especially the technical secretariat of the Committee on Regional Policy.

Ich glaube, es ist uns allen bewusst, dass die Städte im Fokus einer Regionalpolitik der Zukunft stehen müssen, weil sie sozusagen der Fokus der Probleme sind, die künftig in der Regionalpolitik auf uns zukommen werden.

I think we are all aware that towns and cities have to be the focus of any future regional policy, being, so to speak, the epicentres of the problems with which our regional policies will have to deal.

   – Selbstverständlich ist die städtische Dimension in der Regionalpolitik wichtig. In Schottland haben wir unsere großen Städte Glasgow, Edinburgh und andere, und alle haben vom Engagement der EU in der Regionalpolitik profitiert.

   The Urban dimension in regional policy is of course important, in Scotland we have our major cities Glasgow, Edinburgh and others and all have benefited from EU engagement with regional policy.
