to cleave in two

Proteases cleave Pol I into two fragments: Klenow fragment which contains the polymerase and the 3‘ → 5‘ exonuclease activity and a smaller N-terminal fragment which contains the 5‘ → 3‘ exonuclease activity.

Proteasen spalten Pol I in zwei Fragmente:  Klenow Fragment, das die Polymerase enthält, und die 3 '→ 5'-Exonuklease-Aktivität und eine geringere  N-terminalen Fragment, das die 5' → 3 'Exonuklease-Aktivität beinhaltet.
