Sofern kein schriftlicher Vertrag vorliegt, muß die maximale Zahlungsfrist unseres Erachtens 21 Tage ab Rechnungsdatum betragen; dies würde nur gelten, wenn die Zahlungsfrist im Vertrag nicht genau festgelegt ist.

In the absence of a written contract, we think that payment should be made at the latest 21 days from the invoice date; this would apply only when the payment period is not laid down in the contract.
